Bright Neighbor Tree Agreement

This Tree Acceptance Contract (“the Agreement”) is entered into by and between Bright Neighbor, LLC (“Bright Neighbor, LLC.”) and You, (“the Tree Steward”).

Article 1 Independent Tree Steward.

Section 1.1 Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Bright Neighbor, LLC. hereby engages the Tree Steward as an independent Tree Steward to perform the services set forth herein, and the Tree Steward hereby accepts such engagement.

Article 2 Tree Steward Services.

Section 2.1 Tree Steward (land owner) shall shall provide tree care to the tree(s) provided for free by Bright Neighbor, LLC. This tree loving service includes:

  • 2.1.1 Planting and maintaining the health and well being of the tree(s) for the entire life of the tree(s) provided to Tree Steward by Bright Neighbor, LLC.;
  • 2.1.2 Providing a yearly well being status report to Bright Neighbor, LLC. When contacted annually by Bright Neighbor, LLC.;
  • 2.1.3 Gifting all carbon rights associated with tree(s) provided by Bright Neighbor, LLC.;

Article 3 Term.

Section 3.1 This engagement shall commence upon execution of this Agreement by the parties and shall continue until:

  • 3.1.1 completion of the Tree Steward’s duties under this Agreement,
  • 3.1.2 termination by Bright Neighbor, LLC. or,
  • 3.1.3 Until the land owner or Tree Steward loses rights to the property the trees are planted on.
  • 3.1.4 Bright Neighbor, LLC. Reserves the right to make one contact per year with the last known owner of the tree(s) to establish the present health and condition of the tree.
